100 days of health

HELLO!  I'm back!  I'm soooooOOO sorry I was away for so long, just been busy and caught up in life!  lol  NO... not really!  Well, I'm back and what a better way then to start my 100 days of health....just to jump start my healthy habits again!

DAY 1:  Ginger Tea!!!

So a while back I was having lots of stomach problems and one of my co-workers suggest me to make ginger tea.  At first I was like what???  You mean just chop some ginger and boil it??? or like dried ginger and brew it like green tea???  She's like get some ginger and just slice it a boil it!  So here I am, sliced it up and boiled it...hot and fragrant ginger tea!

After I made the tea I looked up the benifits of drinking ginger and tea...and boy I wished I knew sooner!  There's so many use for ginger tea...anything from upset stomach to healthy lifestyle.  So here's some link to some great references below.  Enjoy your tea!

Healthy choices today.

Finally stop by a Trader Joe's the other day and to be honest I wasn't too impressed.  Maybe I didn't really know what I was going to buy or what the good deals were, but I felt like it was just like an Aldi's.  Trader Joe's is branched off of Aldi's, so that's probably why it's similar.  Anyhow, I was expecting more since everyone was talking about what they bought there.  Well I'll have to go more often to see what there really is.  Anyhow, while I was there last time I found this Rice Drink interesting.  I think this drink was very good in a sense that if you like rice you'll like it.  It has a hint of rice and that soy milk taste to it, but I prefer this way over the almond milk.  Today I had a glass of it and then threw some in my smoothie and it was pretty good.

Fun noodles

Was so craving a noodle dish this week, so I bought some Extra large rice stick and make this Chow Fun noodle dish that you often find at chinese/thai resturants.  Basically it's rice sticks stiry fried in your choice of meats, veggies with soy sauce/oyster sauce.  In my dish today I use chicken, bok choy, rice sticks with both soy sauce and oyster sauce.  After I was done I wished I put in some red peppers and fish sauce, but it was good overall.
