Apps
One of my favourite apps is the "Lose It!" Essentially it's like a food log/diary of your daily intake of calories and work outs. This app I think is very easy to use and is FREE! You can gather you friends or family who wants to become healthier and create a community. Thus, you can encourage and keep each other on track. Sadly no one in my family is interested. If you want to follow me message me and I'll send you my account! So if you're looking around for a calorie counter or just to keep a log of your new healthy lifestyle...try it!
Reasons why I like it:
-Accessible online
-Syncs online with app instantly (vice versa)
-Easy to use app
-Bar code scanning for food
-lots of restaurants food item (no looking up and entering meals)
-Goal setting for weight loss/ Goal calorie intake
-Easy workout logging
-Great reports/graphs
-Weight recorder
Oh yeah, if you don't have an Iphone, Ipod, Ipad or android...you can always just do it online: http://www.loseit.com/

Turkey Bacon!
So when I went to Aldi's the other day to grab some veggies I saw some turkey bacon and wanted to try it out. As healthy as it seems, compared to regular bacon, turkey bacon looks so processed. In addition it tasted very salty, it seemed to be more salty than the regular bacon. I think the only good part about turkey bacon is that it's has less fat and it tasted more like beef jerky than bacon. I probably won't be eating any turkey bacon any time soon, but it was worth a try!

Insanity-1st week finished!
So I started the work out "Insanity" last week! I remember I use to do Taebo when I was younger and that was when it was very popular. Recently I did a Taebo work out and it wasn't as good as it use to be, or maybe I've grown out of it? Anyhow, I was looking for a new work out video and I know I tried P90x two years ago and couldn't do it because I didn't have an interest in lifting weights and I didn't have most of the equipment. So, one of my friends told me about Insanity and I thought I check it out. I went straight to youtube and searched it. I found some pretty interesting reviews and got the work out a couple days later. I've been on it for about a week and I'm feeling pretty good. Some of the best things about Insanity:
-No equipment
-Easy postures/workouts routines
-Not all workout are an hour long(not so time consuming)
-You can see the work out people stop/take a break(making it seem more realistic and they're not perfect like other work out videos)
-Makes you sweat!!!
So if you want to try something new in 2012, try Insanity!
